Meet Peleps Ianue, Terrestrial Exalted of the Water Aspect.
I still can't believe I managed to find a group to play Exalted, but I did. Unfortunately for me it wasn't a Solar game but a Dragon Blooded one, so I had to read another major manual. Yes, Mel! Me! Playing a Dragon Blooded! And enjoying it! Lol... despite the total pain of preparing the character sheet, the game itself is total fun. I just love how shameless it is. Goes beyond all self-imposed limits of the traditional fantasy rpgs. You can literally parry a mountain, kill the gods, go to a daemon safari in Malfeas, it speaks about sex, drugs and slavery without even becoming gross. You only realize it fully when you get to play it. And if that's the feeling with a Dragon Blooded, I wonder how it is with Solars and Sidereals...

What to say. The background circle image was terribly easy but absolutely fun to create. No, I didn't paint the waves, I just assembled the thingie, drew the circles, arranged characters (let's see how much of an Exalted fan you are: can you read it?). On the other hand, the decoration of her clothes was pure self-inflicted suffering. Oh well. Can't say I hate the way it all came out. Kinda exaggerated with body perspective, but that was indeed one of the fun parts.

Ianue is the black sheep of the Peleps family. Despite how pure her family's blood runs in her veins and all the expectations her parents put on her, she only dedicated herself to what she found pleasurable in life, namingly fencing and calligraphy (does "Hero" by Zhang Yi Mou ring any bell?), nearly neglecting the rest -worse, she did the least necessary, just to avoid open ostracization.
However she was a constant source of embarrassment for her family, and eventually her parents removed her from the court of the Blessed Island to avoid further trouble. She was assigned to the administration of a small trading port island that was however an important node on some of the routes that link the Blessed Island and the Western Arcipelagos.
They obviously put one of their trusted servants there to control her. And here's where her adventure begin, her motivation being free of the Dragon Blooded society's restraints, of the golden cage her heritage traps her in.
Oh and she HATES Deled. Totally, completely. In her thoughts, he's the exact image of what's wrong with today's Dragon Blooded. The Immaculate Philosophy is an instrument of control and legitimacy of the Terrestrial rule over Creation. Fine. But it's absurd and dangerous when the Terrestrial forget this and they become believers in the lie they created to rule. What you get is brainless zealots like Deled.
