Exalted, The Compass of Terrestrial Directions, Vol. III - The East
Another picture whose art note is lost among the heaps that crowd my hotmail mailbox... I was asked to draw a warrior wearing wooden armor bits and wielding a wooden sword, asked if I could draw a girl instead and was granted the permission, so here it is. Now what happens when a Solar steps with his Daiklave among a band of these people? He wouldn't even bother activate defensive charms, I'd say... Unless their weapons are somehow magically imbued, but we'll need to wait and read the manual before knowing...
If you want to know about wooden sword and armor then explanation is simple. On East you could find a special type of tree know as Iron Wood. The name explain everything, this wood is hard as iron and sword made of it can be really sharp. So meeting bunch of people armed with these is kind of dangerous.
I'll second this, The Haltans have mastered the art of Wooden weapons, I imagine she might be able to cleave/cut off a limb with this weapon, and getting through her armor? Good luck with a normal weapon, you better use Charms.
Hmmm, now I'm inspired to work out a Wood Daiklave.

Well normal iron wood is hard but have hardness of charcoal so it is possible to chop it with proper tools. But after proper preparation in special herbs and some others substances and use of some rituals, become hard as steel.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
