Terrible. This has been the most difficult and sperimentative coloration technique I ever employed. Never made such a massive use of layers AND channels. And often I would lose the trail and forget on which layer I put that certain shadow. But somehow I managed to put all pieces together and create this painting. I'm rather satisfied with the result. I think the lighting and colours, although odd, blend well into each other, and I hope it can be appreciated as being more accurate than my previous works...
On a side note, this character, which I created as I'm reading "Mount Hiei in Flames", the supplement for Call of Cthulhu in middle age Japan, now has a name, Ine, and a background. She's from Tosa (modern Kochi prefecture), so in order to roleplay her effectively... I'm studying the Kochi dialect (tosaben) myself! It's really harsh and cool. I'm loving this. Roleplaying encourages curiosity and learning, I've always been believing in this!
Very accurate coloring and I must say I love the colors muchly ^__^ I specially like the reddish arm plates. Is it weird that they made me remember of the house roofs in China o.o
(I didn't know you already had the colored version up at the time I was sending my reply on your email, so sorry about the confusion ^^)
i like this one.. i noticed you from jahi's stuff and i figured i'd pop in, then i noticed you needed comments... well i may not have been submitting art other than poems lately.. (for a while.. actually) but i figure i might be able to help somewhat at least...
this one i think the outfit is awesome, it reminds me of final fantasy outfits.. the one tied arm looks really cool, almost like armor though it isnt... colours lights and shaddows are great (not that im an expert. or have any reason to suspect otherwise =\) and the detail on the tattoo's are great, i think one thing i would comment on, or maybe critique, is the face, it seems somehow abnormal.. though that might be the style of art or just the angle... love the hair though
hmm yeah.. i wrote lots

Hey thanks for the comment!
Actually the arm part is a sort of light armor made of lacquered leather and silk rope, which is more resistant than one would think, but still is a very light protection. I thought it would be all a ninja should need for body protection... parrying with that arm and respond with the sword.
Anyways thanks for the nice and useful comment. I really appreciated it.
hey no problem, and yeah that makes sense.. it kinda dosent look it, maybe its cuz of the way you coloured or textured it.. i dunno.. and yeah i love ninjas, so if you drew ninjas all the time you've definately hooked me in lol
and keep the pics coming, im pretty sure i watched you... didnt i? so yeah i'll keep an eye out for your stuff

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
