As the image of the cargo freighter rotated in the scanner's monitor, the en'kvani lieutenant moved closer to the Ambassador Vimere Ammasu.
"Ambassador , they are requesting permission to board us. Their captain reports a malfunction to the ship's life support system and would like to trade goods in exchange of help".
Vimere stood silent for a while, arms crossed.
When she finally spoke, her multimodular voice sounded like three people speaking in unison.
"Permission granted. Send a strike team and arrest the captain as soon as he sets foot on our bridge. Then send a message to the rest of their crew. If they want him back, they will have to surrender. All of them, including Dr.Tannen."
A brief, uneasy silence, then the lieutenant dared speak again "At your command, ma'am. May I... ask you how you know the doctor is in that ship?"
Vimere allowed herself a smile. "Because they are now close enough for me to sense that he is thinking about hiding in one of the hidden compartments. Oh by the way, that means that they're smugglers. I want that ship confiscated and sought."
