Oh dear. I love that game but it sucks way too much out of my life. I'm an engineer in game of ships, turrets, ammo and other stuff. I havent played in SO long that I would have to log in to get my character name. One second... lol. *runs off*

Honestly, if you're serious about playing and getting into EVE online, the first thing you should do is install and and immediately starting training some skills. Of which there are many.

It can seriously take 6 months to 1 year (yes, these are real-time numbers) of skill-training to have a character that's halfway competent and able to do anything meaningful, besides running missions over and over. At least that's what I found during my year or so of playing EVE.

Not to turn you away from the game, but I wouldn't consider it very newbie friendly, although I've heard some improvements have been made to help newer players.
